about the artist.
Cheyenne Rohmann, an alumna of St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, enjoys telling stories
through her work and capturing the essence of people, places, and issues that are important to her.
While in college, she began producing creative promotional and educational videos for Student Health 101, the campus Health & Counseling Center, and Student Life. She also created a short documentary about the 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum and looks forward to moving more into short film in the future.
In the course of her time as a Photocommunications student, she was able to explore many different photographic processes and styles. Street photography in particular is a passion of Cheyenne's, and she finds inspiration in the likes of Vivian Maier and Bill Cunningham. She shoots primarily with a Canon DSLR, but also has experience shooting and developing 35mm and large format (4x5) film.
“Everything shifts as you move, and different things come into focus at different points of your life, and you try to articulate that.”
